❓ Why donate blood?

Every year, thanks to blood donation, 1 MILLION patients are treated: a woman who has lost a lot of blood during childbirth, a man suffering from cancer under chemotherapy treatment ... The needs of patients are constant: 10,000 donations are needed every day in France. Every donation is precious because it can save 3 lives!

✔ To donate your blood, you must:
- Be between 18 and 70 years old
- Weigh at least 50kg
- Be deemed fit during the preliminary interview before donation
- Have a photo ID
- Eat before and stay well hydrated throughout the process

⌛ Frequency and intervals between donations:
A woman can donate her blood 4 times a year and a man 6 times a year. Between each blood donation, a minimum interval of 8 weeks must be respected.

➡ The steps of blood donation:
- Welcome and registration
- Questionnaire and preliminary interview before donation
- The donation (10 min)
- A+ break (20 min - snack)

From registration to the A+ break, plan between 45 min and 1h.
